Letter of Reference for Mr. Sachin Mohite

It is with much enthusiasm that I am writing this recommendation for Mr. Sachin Mohite. I met Sachin in the year 2016-17 during the State-level Baseline Study for the Government run Educational program where I was a Research Expert to evaluate the Data Collection process during this study independently. Sachin was single-handedly driving this entire exercise of conducting the research. He efficiently used his managerial skills, specifically people management skills, and experience of handling large teams.

In 2018, Sachin and I got another chance to work together for an assignment with the Shantilal Muttha Foundation. Sachin worked there as Head of the Department. Sachin's role for this assignment involved the Monitoring and Evaluation tools design for the large-scale educational program called Mulyavardhan. This time, being a part of the team, I got an opportunity to further engage with him and witness the professionalism with which he manages different responsibilities at the organization.

It was also fascinating to see that despite having significant responsibilities with the organizations and the work he has committed, he voluntarily contributes to Samidha, a non-profit organization. Sachin is one of the founding members of Samidha. His professional commitments are not compromised for his voluntary work and vice versa. He smoothly manages to fulfil his responsibilities.

He is keenly interested in research on Citizenship Education, Civic Participation of the young children, and Evaluations in related domains. I believe that good research design plays an essential role in every successful study. After reading a few of his research proposals, it is very evident that he meticulously designs and plan his research. Another good quality is that he is always welcoming to suggestions and responds positively to the criticism. Coming from a Technology background, he accurately uses his technical skills to handle research analysis tools (SPSS, MAX QDA) with ease for his research work.

At present, he works with rural India and with communities living in slums in the urbanized areas. This not only gives him an opportunity to understand the challenges faced in the field with the urban-rural dynamics but also portrays his skills to be able to involve and work with different communities. It is also important to note that his researches have been published nationally and internationally. I am confident that his experiences in both, the study and working with the communities would help him grow in the Educational Research and his work would further contribute to the domain positively. He not only uses his field and classroom learning in his work but also uses them in his personal life. I have witnessed him use the Emergent Literacy components at home with his 6months old twin daughters of which he maintains the video documentation.

With his rigorous research skills, a thorough understanding of the ground situations and commitment, I am sure that Sachin will further develop and effectively employ these attributes through his professional and academic endeavors.
