WSA Focus

Focus of Whole School Activities (WSA)

The following bar chart, talks about the different Whole School Activities being conducted in the schools. We figured out that there are different activities being planned which are focused toward the children’s self-awareness, emotion management, developing confidence, motivating, goal settings, community awareness, understanding diverse cultures, ethical norms, healthy relations, communication skills, conflict resolutions, etc. But those are not sufficient. There are many schools not working on these aspects at all and who did not respond to it.

Frequency analysis on the coded data showed that intensity with which these efforts are taken is more focused on helping children understand their likes/dis-likes, motivating them, improve the communications skills, developing healthy relations. Nevertheless, highest percentage does not cross 6%. Other factors are not given importance most of the time. A better situation would be to give similar importance to all of the following points so that they will contribute in the program outcomes.
