Letter of Recommendation

I am writing the reference letter in support of Mr. Sachin Mohan Mohite who is applying for the Post-graduate program in your esteemed University. I have known Sachin for four years since his interview for the University admissions in 2014 till date in the capacity of a teacher and mentor. I have taught him courses like Advanced Social Research during MA in Education program. His background in the Software Development and extensive field level experience in the Education sector before joining the University, helped him understand the subjects easily. He learned the basics of Social Research very quickly and grasped the important statistical analysis tools like SPSS.

Sachin was also part of the Students Council where he represented the dynamic students' community at our University. During his tenure as a Placements Representative, he managed to take Placements activities to a different height, set processes and successfully placed almost all of the students. He handled all his responsibilities very professionally. He was very instrumental in amending the Students Council's Constitution through the participatory process. It showed his commitment towards the volunteer participation and democratic processes. Apart from that, I have seen him actively organizing and participating in various cultural events. I was the faculty mentor for the Sports activities in the University. He also used to participate in sports events. I specifically remember about the Table Tennis event, where he was one of the finalists. He has a versatile and pleasant personality. Sachin is pursuing his interest in the Educational Research after graduating from the University as well. I am mentoring him on the research design, data analysis, interpretations, and report writing. He has done good work during the baseline study of a program based on Democratic Value for the state of Goa, India. I was involved in this study as a research expert. After this study, he completed a research project sponsored by Azim Premji University research cell on 'Time-on-Tasks during Alternative Instructional strategies in the primary classrooms'. He presented this study in one of the international conferences on Education in the USA.

I am sure he will be an asset to any organization, institution or university. I highly appreciate his decision to take his decade-long professional experience and academic journey to the next level by continuing further education.
